SENSES (CA24164) has officially started its activities, bringing together researchers and heritage professionals from across Europe to explore the multisensory dimensions of court residences between 1300 and 1800. The Action aims to create a shared platform for interdisciplinary and trans-sectoral collaboration.
By combining court studies, sensory history, and digital humanities, SENSES seeks to advance innovative research approaches and strengthen connections between academia, cultural heritage institutions, and the creative sector. Particular attention is given to the use of digital tools for studying and presenting sensory experiences of the past.
Over the coming months, the network will initiate its Working Groups, open calls for participation, and prepare its first scientific and training activities. Scholars and professionals interested in the sensory history of court spaces are warmly invited to engage with the Action.
